The afterschool program at Prism Education Center has been designed to develop children academically, emotionally, and physically through a variety of activities. We recognize that school-age children have been in large groups for most of the day. It is our desire to replicate a “home-like” experience for children when they enter our doors and help them develop within a small group setting.

Each child at Prism will be placed in a team. These teams are led by mentors—many of whom come to us through the University of Arkansas. Mentors will lead the children through character building exercises, academic tutoring, and will teach children how to incorporate physical fitness activities into their daily lives. It is our goal to introduce children in our program to lifelong habits that will help them develop into ethical, balanced adults.

In addition to our academic and character education programs children will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of different clubs. The goal of these clubs is to provide enrichment activities suited to the interests of the children in our programs.
