After School Program
The after school Trailblazers program at Prism Education Center has been designed to develop children academically, emotionally, and physically through a variety of activities. We recognize that school-age children have been in large groups for most of the day. It is our desire to create opportunities for enrichment in a less structured environment than the school day. In the after school program, students play outside, have snacks, and complete their homework before engaging in the club of their choice. It is our goal to introduce students in our program to lifelong habits and opportunities that will help them develop into well-rounded adults.
The Trailblazers program is open to students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Most clubs end at 5:00 PM, but students can stay in the after school until 5:30 PM.
Trailblazer programming differs slightly by age: elementary students in K-4 have a more structured program built around the 6 Trailblazer Badges that are aligned to our confluence program that eventually forms our High School graduation requirements, while the 6th to 9th graders having a slightly less structured program built around self-chosen extra-curricular activities and service-learning activities.
