Applicants must complete relevant background checks and have no disqualifying offenses (outlined in Teacher Institute program manual)
Applicants must be able to provide proof of Bachelor’s Degree but do not have to provide in the initial application.
Any applicant for a math position at Prism Education Center must also pass the Prism Education Center Assessment for Mathematics Educators and any teachers seeking a K-6 Elementary Licenses must pass the Foundations of Reading Assessment by the end of the two years in the program.
Because applicants will teach while completing the necessary two-year training requirements, applicants must be willing to relocate to Northwest Arkansas make a two-year commitment to both the program and to teaching at Prism Education Center.
Passing Praxis scores are not required for application. However, applicants must be able pass state-mandated testings by the Spring Semester of their final year in the program.

Fees for participation in the 2018-19 Teacher Institute are $1,600 per year or $3,200 for the two-year term.
Fees are due by the 5th day of the program. Fellows will not be permitted to participate in the program if fees are not received in full by the 5th day of the program.
Fees do not include the cost of testing, fees for required laptop, textbooks, or any other service. These fees and supplies are the sole responsibility of the teaching fellow.
Early termination of the program may result in limited refunds as described in the refund schedule.
Prism Education Center may provide full or partial scholarships to the program. The scholarship application period is aligned to the program application period
Fellows are paid a full-time salary in accordance with their contract during their teaching assignment
